George C. Scott Studios Art Glass Bowl Pendants, Finial: None Light Bulb: (6)60w A19 Med F Incand These dramatic Light shades are large enough to serve as a focal point in big spaces. Each shade is made by fusing sheets of thin glass into a large blank, or disc. Reactions within the layers of glass create intricate Patterns of bubbles, veins and tracers. The designs within each shade are organic and unique to that individual piece. Once the blank is formed, it is fired on top of a drop ring at high temperature inside a large kiln. The weight of the softened glass combined with the pull of gravity allow the center of the Light shade to drop, while the edge is held in place by the mold.
